Overview

Asilomar is a tranquil ocean front retreat and conference grounds. It is cradled by forests and the white sand beaches of Monterey Peninsula in Pacific Grove, California. Designed by acclaimed architect Julia Morgan, the Asilomar Conference Center harmonizes with its natural surroundings and echoes with history and charm.

Location

Asilomar Hotel & Conference Grounds is located steps from Asilomar State Beach which stretches one-mile and is made up of rocky coves and a few sandy areas. The beach is popular with surfers, kayakers and offers beautiful views and walking trails. Asilomar State Beach is part of the Asilomar Marine Reserve due to its rich ecosystem and biodiversity, fishing is prohibited.

Guest Rooms

Asilomar offers charming accommodations that are perfect for anyone dedicated to rest and reflection. In keeping with this tradition, guest rooms are free of modern-day distractions such as telephones and televisions. Our Historic Rooms are located in buildings designed by renowned architect Julia Morgan and built between 1913 and 1928, and feature the charms of hardwood floors and rustic furnishings, along with private baths. Our more contemporary Asilomar Rooms are available with patios, balconies and cozy fireplaces.

Part of what makes Asilomar so unique is its deep connection with nature. Biking, bird watching and strolling along the boardwalk encourage you to relax and enjoy the day. Year-round, you can take part in a vast array of outdoor activities including cycling along miles of beautiful shore or gathering your friends for a fun game of volleyball.
